A Bible Teaching Church
At Grace Church we focus on teaching and preaching the Bible.
This comes from a core belief that we have: that the Bible is the Word of God. God speaks to us through it. It’s inspired scripture. In his Word (the Bible), God gives us everything we need to know him, for life and faith.
This conviction really does shape what our church is like and does.
You’ll see it play out if you come along on a Sunday. When you walk in the door, you’ll be given a Bible to read during the church service. The church service itself opens with someone up the front reading a few verses from the Bible. We also have someone read from the Old Testament and the New Testament parts of the Bible. The sermon (Bible talk) is based on one of the readings from the Bible. And the service finishes with a Bible reading.
We do this because we want to hear from God himself. We want to hear God speak and see what God is like and what he’s done for us in Jesus. We think that’s an amazing privilege.
Don’t worry if the Bible is all new to you. If you come along on Sunday, we can help you with page numbers, guide you through the chapters and verses, and we’ll try our best to explain what we’re talking about.
